In a society drunk for "curvy women," small-breasted women are not represented or misrepresented.
Society tends to describe us as anorexic or underweight and has even compared our body type to that of a teenager
or boy. They are not to blame; small-breasted women live under the umbrella of meeting an unreachable cup size standard. Recognize underwear brands push these women (including myself) to seek their size in the teenager's section because there is never enough product in stock. According to research, this provokes under-esteem, depression, and anxiety at a young age (13+).
Small Rebellion is a solution (under development) about a dynamic brassiere created specifically for small-breasted women who often struggle to find the perfect fit. My thesis proposal also focuses on embracing those sexy lemons out there. I got your back, ladies!
For the project, I have started designing a series of posters that embrace small sizes, not only to encourage society to stop setting such ridiculous standards, but also to urge some underwear brands to rethink their customer service experience (please redesign your product organization!).
